ANNOUNCEMENT
Important Information About the 90-Minute Parent/Teen Component (Effective July 1, 2025):
- The 90-minute parent/teen course is a REQUIRED part of the 30-hour Driver Education program.
- Students age 17 and under MUST complete this component with the same provider as their 30-hour course.
- As of July 1, 2025, certificates from other providers will no longer be accepted.
- Please register for the Parent/Teen session separately — there is no additional charge for this class.

At the end of this course, successful candidates will be issued a license.
To get a license, you must bring in a photocopy of your valid VA learner permit, original DEC 1 card from high school, and mandatory 45 hours of driving experience.
Note: Once you register online, Behind-the-Wheel students will receive confirmation after groups are assigned for 7 periods— 50 mins of driving and 50 mins of observation per day.

This is a great package for kids who have not been able to practice much on their own. You get 3 additional classes (one-on-one with an instructor) besides the 7 driving lessons required by the DMV, for a total of 10 classes.
